Join us as we celebrate the 3rd of July!
Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy patriotic music with The Marine Corps Band New Orleans on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn and fireworks at the Peristyle.
We’ll have Happy 3rd of July fans for the first 4000 people at the event.
The Marine Corps Band New Orleans will pass out event programs.
New Orleans City Park will offer concessions for sale or event goers can bring their own.
Along with picnic favorites like hotdogs, corndogs and waffle fries, City Park will be selling:
Beer, wine, ice cream, Vodka Lemonade, and Vodka Sneauxballs (regular ones, too).
While there is no bad spot to hear the band, arrive early to get a spot on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn. The band will play from the Peristyle side of the lawn and face Victory.
City Park will begin selling concessions at 5pm, music begins around 7, and fireworks from the Peristyle will be at 9pm.
While people can bring their dogs if they remain on a leash, we advise to leave them at home – the fireworks are very loud and each year dogs get frightened and run from their owners.
Don’t forget to wear your red, white, and blue! This event is free and open to the public.
